Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Quicky (the “Service”), operated by Gridbits, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Quicky turns an idea, a script or an uploaded voiceover into a narrated video illustrated with AI-generated images, with subtitles. Scripts, images, narration and captions are produced by third-party AI models. Output can be inaccurate, and we don’t guarantee any particular result, view count, monetisation outcome or income.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
• You’re responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
• One person per account. Creating accounts to collect extra free credits isn’t allowed.

3. Credits, plans and payments

• The Service runs on credits. Each generated image (a story frame, a character or location reference, or a re-shot frame) costs 9 credits. Writing scripts, transcription, narration, subtitles, captions and cutting the video don’t use credits.
• Before anything is rendered you see the exact credit cost and must approve it.
• If an image fails to generate, its credits are returned to your balance automatically. A failed video can be retried, paying only for the images that are still missing.
• New accounts receive 100 free credits. Free credits have no cash value.
• Credits never expire while your account is open, including after you cancel a plan. Credits can’t be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash, except as described in our Refund Policy.
• Prices are listed in US dollars and don’t include taxes. Applicable taxes (for example 18% GST in India, or VAT) are added at checkout. Credits are digital and are added to your account as soon as payment succeeds; nothing is shipped. Purchases are final, except as described in our Refund Policy.
• Plans renew automatically each month at the price shown at checkout, and add their credits on each successful payment, until you cancel. Cancel any time from Billing → Manage subscription & invoices. Cancellation takes effect immediately: you won’t be charged again, and credits already added stay in your account.
• We’ll give existing subscribers at least 14 days’ notice before a price change applies to them.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also calculates and collects applicable taxes such as GST or VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments’ terms.

4. Your content and what you create

• You keep ownership of what you upload (ideas, scripts, voiceovers) and, as between you and us, of the videos and text the Service generates for you (“Output”). We don’t claim ownership of your Output.
• You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your inputs and Output only to run the Service for you, including sending them to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
• AI output may resemble existing works, and similar output may be generated for other users. We can’t guarantee your Output is unique or free of third-party rights. Check it before publishing it commercially.
• Copyright protection for AI-generated material is uncertain and varies by country. We don’t promise that your Output can be registered or enforced as your copyright.
• You must have the rights to anything you upload. If you upload someone else’s voice, you must have their permission.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to create or publish content that:

• depicts or impersonates a real person in a misleading way, or clones a person’s voice without consent;
• shows a real, identifiable person saying or doing something they didn’t, unless it is clearly labelled as satire and lawful;
• is sexual content involving minors, or any non-consensual intimate imagery;
• harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred against people or groups;
• is deliberately false and presented as fact to mislead people, including election or health misinformation;
• infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including retelling copyrighted films or books with their characters;
• is illegal where you or your audience are.

Also don’t try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or get around credit costs or limits. We may refuse or remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.

To report content that infringes your rights or impersonates you, email vaibhav@gridbits.in. We act on valid reports promptly.

6. Publishing responsibly

You’re responsible for where and how you publish Output. Platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok require you to label realistic AI-generated content, and restrict mass-produced or repetitive content; breaking their rules can lead to demonetisation or strikes. The captions and fact-check list we generate are suggestions and may miss errors: verify facts before you publish.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and features may change. If we change these terms materially we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service any time and ask us to delete your account at vaibhav@gridbits.in. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Unused paid credits are handled as described in the Refund Policy.

9. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost revenue, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs of a claim brought against us, to the extent it is caused by content you created or published through the Service, or by your breach of these terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer laws of your own country.

11. General

These terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
